Why a watch, and why this one
Most Provence souvenirs share one problem: they fade. Linen napkins yellow, lavender sachets lose their scent, Marseille soap melts in a humid bathroom, pottery breaks in a suitcase. A watch crosses every border, every climate, every decade, and is worn every single day. Each time you check the time you are back at the Wednesday market in Saint-Rémy, in the shadow of Notre-Dame de la Garde or on the cliffs above Cassis.
ALPILLE was built in the Provençal grammar. The 40 mm polished 316L steel case echoes the limestone of the Alpilles. The ridged beige dial recalls the ochre cliffs of Roussillon. The olive-green strap nods to Van Gogh's olive groves at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole; the earth-brown strap to the red clay of the Luberon. A Epson VX3SE multifunction quartz movement drives it, discreet horology, not a billboard.
Where ALPILLE comes from, exactly
ALPILLE is assembled by hand in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (13210), a small town at the foot of the Alpilles regional natural park, 12 km from Saint-Rémy, 25 km from Avignon, 60 km from Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. The brand is independent, French, and run by a tiny team. Every watch leaves the workshop in a signed gift box with a numbered authenticity card and a one-year warranty.
We deliberately produce only two references, olive green and earth brown, both interchangeable thanks to 22 mm quick-release pins. No overproduction, no logo race, no seasonal collections to chase. A souvenir should be as quiet as the place it came from.

Is it really assembled in France?
Yes. Final assembly, quality control, packaging and after-sales service all happen at our workshop in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Provence. The watch uses a Epson VX3SE multifunction quartz movement, and it is assembled, regulated and tested by hand in France.
How much does it cost, and is it the final price?
€229 / approx. $249 / £199. Prices shown at checkout include EU VAT for European buyers; the system removes VAT automatically for shipments outside the EU. Local import duties (US, UK, CH, etc.) may apply on arrival depending on your country's threshold, they are usually modest.
I am leaving Provence in 3 days, can you still deliver to my hotel?
Yes. Order online by 14:00 (Paris time) on a working day and we can deliver to most hotels in Saint-Rémy, Les Baux, Maussane, Eygalières, Avignon, Arles, Aix or Marseille within 48 hours. Email contact@alpille.com immediately after your order with your hotel name and check-out date so we can prioritize.
What if it needs servicing in 2 or 3 years?
Ship the watch back to our workshop from anywhere in the world. We handle battery changes, strap replacements, watch regulation and any servicing from France. Round-trip is generally 2-3 weeks. Spare straps are available at €20.
Is it suitable as a wedding or anniversary gift?
Very much so, many of our orders are weddings in the Luberon, anniversaries in Aix, retirement gifts after a Provence trip. Each watch ships in a signed gift box with a numbered authenticity card. You can add a handwritten note at checkout (free).
